Founded in 2003, French cinematic metal band Hypno5e sings lyrics in both French and English, and occasionally Spanish. Its core trio intact after nearly two decades, the band will perform their first online concert stream, in which they will play their most recent album, 2019’s A Distant (Dark) Source, in its entirety. Directed by singer-songwriter and independent filmmaker Emmanuel Jessua. It was Jessua’ goal to capture the intensity of their live show and add a touch of artistic flair to the visuals.

Shadi Dayeh, professor of electrical and computer engineering at the University of California San Diego, will present “Neuromodulation: Diagnosis and Therapy for Brain and Spinal Cord Disorders”. Researchers are exploring the possibility that electrical stimulation of nerve cells of brain and spinal cord could aid in tumor resections, monitor epilepsy, bypass spinal cord injury to cure paralysis.
