Every year, Nashville supports the children of the island community of Isla Mujeres, Mexico by music festival fundraiser. Performers over the four days: Vince Gill, Lee Bice, Lisa Loeb, Jake Owen, Runaway Jane, Blackberry Smoke, John Rich, A Thousand Horses, Locash, and Emily West. Online auction to accompany festival.

Ruth Druart discusses her new book, While Paris Slept, in conversation with Sarah Sleeper. Ruth Druart grew up on the Isle of Wight, leaving at eighteen to study psychology. In 1993 she moved to Paris. There she pursued a career in international education and raised three sons with her French husband.

Point Loma Playhouse presents a drama about the lives, philosophies, and times of Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X. This play depicts the supposed meeting of the two men. They debate approaches, prepared to die for their beliefs but neither aware of how soon their assassins’ bullets would await them. Directed by Jerry Pilato. Starring Rhys Greene, J. Kay Weldon, Julian King Monroe.
