Philip H. Anselmo and his band the Illegals present A Vulgar Display Of Pantera Live, a multi-camera live performance celebrating the legacy of Anselmo’s former group Pantera. The set will show select cuts from the band’s five classic albums: Cowboys From Hell, Vulgar Display Of Power, Far Beyond Driven, The Great Southern Trendkill, and Reinventing the Steel. The livestream will open with set by Australian grindcore unit King Parrot.

Bodhi Tree Concerts presents Pulitzer Prize-winning, Grammy-nominated musician Anthony Davis, playing music by himself and fellow local stars Mark Dresser and Michael Dessen. These three performers come together for one night only — Davis on piano, Mark Dresser on bass, and Michael Dessen playing trombone.

The Palomar Radio Control Flyers are hosting free flight lessons (weather permitting), airplanes provided. The club started out in the San Marcos area around 1955 as a bunch of guys getting together to fly. They flew from property west of the old airport near Linda Vista in San Marcos. Now the club maintains an instruction program. This instruction is provided for free. Your instruction can come from a club instructor or another member as long as said member can safely teach you. Students will take off and land only while on a buddy box (trainer system). Sign up online.
