Bid On Contemporary Art

Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego’s biennial Art Auction is completely virtual this time. Live and silent auctions of approximately 100 works by early career and internationally recognized artists. Bid on painting, sculpture, and works on paper in support of MCASD exhibitions and programs. All works are considered by MCASD’s director and curators, and are available for viewing in an online catalogue before the auction. Amateur and experienced collectors are welcome to participate. Artworks vary in estimated value, from $500 up to $80,000.

When: Thursday, October 1 through Thursday, October 15.

La Mesa Oktoberfest

Whether you are lounging by your backyard pool or isolating out of San Diego, you will get to participate La Mesa Oktoberfest from your phone or computer, tablet or tv!

Enjoy an afternoon of Munich-inspired festivities: Oompah bands, bier tastings, craft demos, and friendly competitions. You will get to participate from your phone, computer, tablet, or TV. The chicken dance and German sing-a-longs will be streamed with plenty of time for the polka. Grab your steins and get ready to prost! with the Prost Pack of German biers paired with Brewmaster tastings, a commemorative T-shirt, and a party-making Chicken Hat. German foodie favorite boxes of bratwurst, sauerkraut, pretzels, and toppings are available for pre-order.

When: Friday through Sunday, October 2 through 4, 12 pm to 6 pm.

Rocker Mitch Perry and San Diego Rock Band SLEDD get back onto the stage to co-headline Rock and Roll San Diego’s Keep Rockin’ Fest 2020, which will be livestreamed worldwide on Saturday, October 3rd.
