Transplanted from the East Coast at a young age, Edward Kornhauser grew up in Escondido. He attended San Diego State University, studying under pianist Rick Helzer and receiving a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies in 2009. The longtime staff accompanist at Unity Way Church in Vista will debut his new album of original music The Short Years via livestream. Guest players on the album include Dylan Hermansen (sax), Mackenzie Leighton (bass), and Kevin Higuchi (drums). For the livestream, Robert Dove will be joining on sax.

The Dance Camera West touring program will show the top 15 award-winning dance films from the festival which screened world, US, and Los Angeles premieres of over 50 international dance films. See examples of the expanding possibilities of dance from both the young and the old as they tell stories and show new visions of the body through the moving image. The films are curated by artist/executive director Kelly Hargraves, and the screening will be followed by a question and answer with Hargraves, the filmmakers, and festival curators.
