Kat Edmonson Sunday Concert

The Houston native hosts a livestream performance from her home every Sunday in June.

Jazz vocalist and songwriter Kat Edmonson may specialize in old-timey sounds from the Great American Songbook, but the Houston native tackles her repertoire with an almost punk approach that eschews traditionalism in favor of pop appeal. It’s been a little over ten years since her self-released debut hit the Billboard Top 20. With a new album in the can called Dreamers Do, Edmonson is livestreaming a performance from her home each Sunday in June.

Shining: Waxahatchee Livestreams

Katie performs each of her five records over five sessions. June 15 she will be playing Ivy Tripp.

The Casbah may not be able to bring Waxahatchee to its Little Italy stage any time soon, but they’ve booked Katie Crutchfield’s indie folk project to perform each of her records over five separate sessions. June 15 will see her playing Ivy Tripp (2015), June 22 is slated to feature Out in the Storm (2017), and the June 29 performance will highlight her newly released Saint Cloud album. Tickets are $15 per show, $50 for the whole series, or $60 with a screened concert poster. A portion of the sales directly benefits temporarily laid-off Casbah staffers.
