Learn how to compost and make the world a better place.

Improve the quality of your soil, reduce waste and air pollution, and save energy, money, and water. The Solana Center will show you the basics of composting in this one-hour webinar via Zoom. Topics: what composting is and why it is important, tools and materials you’ll need, and which items are compostable. Made possible through funding by the County of San Diego.

When: Thursday, June 11, 2 pm to 3 pm and Saturday, June 13, 10 am to 11 am

Virtual Drawing Workshop

Produce one still-life and one landscape drawing in this online drawing class.

Drawing with Bailey Davenport is an introduction to the basics of drawing which covers dry mediums including graphite, charcoal, and pastel. Particpants aim to produce one still-life and one landscape drawing by the end of the class. All levels.

When: Friday, June 12, 10 am to 12 pm

Celebrate National Rosé Day

It's not just pink wine, attend the Zoom class hosted by San Diego Wine and Food Festival and celebrate rosé.

San Diego Bay Wine and Food Festival hosts a virtual celebration for National Rosé Day, co-hosted by Julep Cafe and Snake Oil Cocktail Co. Attendees can taste rosé to deepen their understanding of the popular pink wine. Additionally, the virtual event features several hands-on educational sessions held via Zoom, including Snake Oil Cocktail Demo Class, Cheese and Charcuterie Styling Class, and a rosé tasting and discussion led by Advanced Sommelier Brian Donegan.

When: Saturday, June 13, 3 pm to 5 pm
