Sumi-E: Asian Art Form Of Ink, Brush And Paper
See Japanese paintings in monochrome ink (suibokuga/sumi-e), paintings in both monochrome ink and color (bokusaiga/nihonga), and hanging scrolls (kakejiku). Floral arrangements by San Diego Ohara School of Ikebana and Sogetsu School of Ikebana. Koto music will be performed by Masaaumi Kai. A wearable art fashion show will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday. Plus: painting demonstration by Naoko Ozaki on Saturday and a painting demonstration by Wendy Nakamura (Kakushu) on Sunday.
