A Pirate Adventure.” Participants will be taught how to navigate, sword fight, bail from a sinking ship, escape from the King’s jail, and swab the deck. San Salvador leaves the dock to provide guests with thirty-minute bay tours aboard this engine-powered vintage vessel.

Strawberry Festival

Strawberry Festival

Past Event

Vista Strawberry Festival

Vista was once the unofficial strawberry capital of the world. In the ‘60s and ‘70s, strawberries were shipped from Vista throughout the US and to Europe, Hong Kong, and other parts of Asia. Reportedly, some in the Netherlands thought the strawberries they received from Vista were a different fruit because they were so large. The crates arrived with the word “Vista” on the side, so people started referring to the strawberries as “vistas”. The Vista Strawberry Festival features athletic competitions, pie-eating, costumes, carnival rides, music, food, bands, a beer garden, shortcake, and strawberry jam contests.
