One soldier's aventurous life

This D-Day, listen to the life story of USMC veteran Lou De Beer, who survived the Nazi occupation of The Netherlands as a prisoner of war, then fought in the Korean War and the Algerian War in the Kabyle Mountains before serving stateside in the National Security Agency. His story is told in words and pictures and is matched by that of his French-born wife.

The parishioners of St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church invite all to their 50th celebration of Greek culture. Come try Greek pastries and coffee, listen to live bands performing Greek music, and watch performances by youth dance troupes wearing folk costumes. Features the largest array of Greek wines in California, and a beer garden will offer imported Greek and domestic brews. Plus: Greek foods market, shopping, kids activity area, and church tours led by Father Andrew Scordalakis.

Five of the nineteen surviving Little Sisters of Hoboken, a one-time missionary order that ran a leper colony on an island south of France, discover that their cook, Sister Julia, accidentally killed the other 52 residents of the convent with her tainted vichyssoise while they were off playing bingo. So they decide to stage a variety show to raise money for the burials. The entertainment they present includes solo star turns, madcap dance routines, and an audience quiz.
