It’s the 1960s and swinging bachelor Bernard couldn’t be happier: a flat in Paris and three gorgeous flight attendants all engaged to him without knowing about each other. But Bernard’s perfect life experiences some turbulence when his friend Robert comes to stay, and a new, speedier Boeing jet throws off all of his careful planning.

Torrey Pines State Reserve Earth Day

Visit 1,500 acres of land that are just as they were before San Diego was developed, including maritime chaparral, rare Torrey pine, miles of unspoiled beaches, and a lagoon that is vital to migrating seabirds. See what California must have looked like to early settlers, Spanish explorers, or first California residents the Kumeyaay people. Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve will have an Earth Day celebration near the parking lot for Upper Trails. Activities include exhibits, nature scavenger hunt, guided walks, arts and crafts, and live animals (reptiles, insects, birds).

Lilac Festival

Lilac Festival

Lilac Festival

Hop on a hayride and enjoy views of a nature loop with five acres of lilacs. Try your skill at tomahawk throwing, visit a petting zoo, enjoy a hoedown or pick up an instrument and join the jug band, paint a flower vase to keep, or dip your own lilac-themed candle. Jesse Cross, dance caller and music man, will be playing live and leading the willing through a jug band hootenanny.
