MOVIES ON HYATT ROOFTOP

I, Tonya: on a rooftop!

I, Tonya at Rooftop Cinema Club

We’ll always have drive-ins, but for years, Cinema Under the Stars in Mission Hills was the main urban alternative to hardtop movie houses. Digital projection and inflatable screens changed that to the point where not a weekend goes by without several outdoor screenings taking place somewhere. Now the Rooftop Cinema Club brings movies to the terrace of the Manchester Grand Hyatt.

RED

Red

“There is only one thing I fear in life,” said Mark Rothko. “One day the black will swallow the red.” It’s 1958, and he’s reached the pinnacle as an artist. He’s been commissioned to paint a series of murals for the largest fee a modern artist has yet received. This could be his masterpiece. But they would hang in the expensive Four Seasons restaurant, not in a gallery. Will he sell out?
