Love Isn't the Answer

Nemr, the first Lebanese-American comedian to land on the cover of the mid-east edition of Rolling Stone, is getting ready to launch his latest tour, Love Isn’t the Answer. Nemr points out that people say things like, “‘All you need is love! Love will take care of things,’” But Nemr says, “Love isn’t the answer. The answer is actually hate! When you hate being in a situation, you’re like, ‘I’m going to make a difference.’”

Tie your shoes tight.

Del Mar Mud Run

Mud and obstacles are placed throughout a 5K run/walk course, followed by post-race showers courtesy of Dr. Bronner’s Magic Foam Experience. Tie your shoes tight so the mud doesn’t suck them off your feet. Loose clothes will slow you down, especially if you have pockets that will hold water and mud. A change of clothes and a spare towel for post-race cleanup are recommended (unless you are riding in someone else’s car).

Patrick Stickles — from the brilliance of Bob Dylan to the savagery of Roger Waters

Titus Andronicus

Sometimes, it’s not all about that bass, but rather, about those lyrics. Named after a Shakespearean play, New Jersey-based Titus Andronicus is centered around the writing of singer-guitarist Patrick Stickles, whose poetic wordworks can bring to mind everything from the brilliance of Bob Dylan to the savagery of Roger Waters, all set to a rocking backbeat that wouldn’t sound out of place on a Grand Funk album.
