Secret art of Dr. Seuss

Ted Geisel

Throughout his lifetime, Theodor Seuss Geisel (aka Dr. Seuss) created paintings and sculptures which he secreted away at the Dr. Seuss Estate. This whimsical exhibit will share a selection of artworks from The Art of Dr. Seuss Collection. Visitors can explore and acquire works from his best-known children’s books, as well as the collection, based on decades of artwork which Dr. Seuss created at night for his personal pleasure.

Scavanger hunt: A Puzzling Drive

Hunt by Car

Take a self-guided driving adventure using your smartphone. Starts at Balboa Park and follows a ten-mile route around the city, ending at the Presidio site above Old Town. Stop at some of San Diego’s hidden secrets and views, where you will have to search for answers to questions before continuing your adventure. Complete the adventure as quickly or slowly as you like, as only the question-answering is timed. A Puzzling Drive is best described as cross between scavenger hunt, a self-guided driving tour, and a road rally. Enter promo code READERDRIVE to receive $10 off one team entry.
