February 9 dock totals

Seems as though only two 1/2 day boats made it out yesterday in the big swells. Sometimes it's the fishing, sometimes it's the bump. The fishing is good, but those who get queasy on the water don't usually show up at the landing when there are 8 footers rolling in. So, locally, only 31 brave souls boarded two boats for about 100 Rockfish and 2 Yellowtail yesterday.

Big wind and big swells coming will probably keep the 1.5 to 2.5 day boats in the slip for a few. Might be the time to break out the trout gear (or your favorite bass-getters) and head out to one of the area lakes.

Down south in La Paz the surprises keep coming. Here's some good news from friend Jonathan Roldan of Tailhunters International in the town named "Peace."
