Celebrate New Years Eve in jazz fashion with the Lorraine Castellanos Quartet, featuring Ed Kornhauser, Evona Wascinski, and Matthew Smith at the Westgate Hotel Versailles Salon (1055 Second Avenue). The event starts at 6:30. Performance begins at 8:30 p.m. and will run $219 per person… Son Pa Ti, with Alex Lopez, Mark Lopez, John Ross, Eduardo Parra, and Patrick Armenta, play Tower 13 (2633 South Coast Highway 101). No cover… The Steph Johnson Trio with Rob Thorsen on bass and Fernando Gomez on drums plays the Rancho Valencia Resort (5921 Valencia Circle, Rancho Santa Fe) from 6 to 11 p.m. $110 per person.

Friday 1
Gilbert Castellanos leads a quartet with Joshua White on piano, Rob Thorsen on bass, and Ryan Shaw on drums at the Westgate Hotel from 8 to 11 p.m. No cover, but there is a $20 food/drink minimum.

Saturday 2
The Kyle Myers Quartet, with Charlie Arbelaez, Ed Kornhauser, Jerome Salazar, and Ryan Shaw, plays Dizzy’s (4275 Mission Bay Drive) at 8 p.m. for a $15 cover… Besos de Coco, with Lorraine Castellanos, Evona Wascinski, and Claudia Gomez, plays the Westgate Hotel from 8 to 11 p.m. $20 food/drink minimum.

Sunday 3
Charlie Arbelaez Organ Trio with Bobby Cressey and Jake Najor play Navajo Live (8515 Navajo Road) at 7 p.m. No cover charge.
