Spotted: Dapper, trendy, casual-cool

If it were up to me, my husband would dress like he stepped out of a J.Crew catalogue. However he prefers to wear tees that say, Fact: Clowns Eat People paired with cargo shorts and sensible man sandals. On the same token, he wishes I leaned toward the long, billowy floral skirts and Free People clothing I wore over a decade ago when the two of us first met.

I have long accepted the idea that, while we are not an adorable fashion couple, we make each other laugh so hard that we cry on a near-daily basis. I’ll take that over a well-stocked his-and-hers closet any day. Still, from time to time, when I spot a particularly well-dressed pair, I suffer from cute-couple envy.

Recently I ran into three über-cute couples that rocked complementary styles. First up are 21-year-old Eden Latoni and 27-year-old Memo Elizondo. They looked every bit the perfect couple with their matching dark hair and complementary color schemes. As for their fashion tastes, Elizondo likes to pair casual pieces with formal accessories.

“I almost always wear a tie,” says Elizondo.

Latoni nods, “He does and they make him look so handsome!”

“I feel more dapper in a tie. This one is my favorite. My dad gave it to me. It was his in the '80s,” Elizondo said of his vintage polka dot tie.

Nearby, Mariah Escobar and Anthony Martinez rocked an updated, trendy look. Mariah sported an embellished crop top, and vintage-inspired-patched jeans from Urban Outfitters. Escobar wore H&M jeans, a jacket purchased in Italy, and a Zumiez shirt.
