Street Style San Marcos:The Lost Abbey Bartenders

Tasting beer at Lost Abbey brewery is not a bad way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Tasters are only $1 a pop. Do not be deceived, while tasters are only 4 0z, their beer is anywhere from 6%-10.5% alcohol content. Two tasters in and I was toasted. It can prove to be a dangerous place for beer lovers.

The choices are vast. Knowledgable bartenders are on hand to offer recommendations.

Kelsey Nygaard

27-year-old bartender Kelsey Nygaard recommended Shark Attack, an American ale with 9.5% ABV.

Nygaard wore an Aztec print Forever 21 skirt, a Lost Abbey t-shirt, and a vintage yellow cardigan.

Nygaard's hand-stamped Johnny Cash Necklace retails for $42.

Lauren Lemond

Nygaard's coworker, 25-year-old Lauren Lemond, suggested Judgment Day, a Belgian-style ale with 10.50 % ABV, and Carnevale, a saison/farmhouse ale.

Lemond wore a Lost Abbey t-shirt. You can find it for sale at the brewery.
