Street Style: Tijuana with Turista Libre
Yesterday afternoon, Derrik Chinn of Turista Libre, gave my friend Beth and I a quick day tour of Tijuana.
Chinn wore Levis, an H&M button-down, a blazer from Lob, a store that can be described as the Mexican version of H&M, and Dorothy Gaynor chukka boots purchased from the Mexico City airport.
“The boots were an impulse buy but I’m glad I bought them. They were only $50 and I wear them all the time,” Chinn said of his blue-laced boots.
Our first stop on our tour was Erizo Baja Fish House & Market where I tasted a seriously delicious Mexican made IPA.
Afterward, Derrik headed toward Las Playas but only made it a few blocks before driving over a nail. We made a quick detour for a new tire. Kiara Garcia was sitting on a bench outside a shopping center near the tire shop. She sported leopard-print shirt and Jessica Alba bangs.
At Plaza Monumental in Las Playas, we spied where the border fence runs into the ocean.
Maria Gonzalez posed for a photo near the gate separating the U.S from Mexico.
Nearby, on the boardwalk, which is reminiscent of PB minus the frat boys, I found Estella Vidana wearing an 80’s inspired material girl ensemble.
