Lexus in the sand of South Mission Beach

At approximately 3 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, a Lexus coupe was discovered on South Mission Beach at Ocean Front Walk near Anacapa Court.

The car had apparently been abandoned after the driver realized they couldn’t drive it out of the deep sand where the boardwalk curves toward the South Mission Beach Jetty.

No one claimed ownership of the vehicle, which was gone by the time the sun came up.
