On Tuesday, March 20, at noon, I flew over Julian and from 6000
feet took this photo of downtown with the recent snow clearly evident.
It's not often that one sees snow on the desert mountains east of Julian. This view shows downtown Julian in the lower left and the mountains all the way back to Borrego covered in snow.

It's not often one sees snow on the mountains this low and close to Dudley's and downtown Santa Ysabel, either. This photo was taken from 6500 feet .
