King's River Rafting: Not Your Average Family Vacation

Originating high in the mountains of central California near Sequoia National Park, the Kings River boasts the largest watershed of any river in the Sierra Nevada mountain range.

Last year I took the family on a two-day whitewater rafting adventure, and it was an experience we'll never forget. (Especially with pictures like this!)

I wasn't sure if taking my two young children (ages 9 and 11) through Class 3+ rapids in near-freezing water would be such a great idea, but they had the time of their lives and we're all looking forward to our next whitewater rafting adventure on the Kern River next month.
