Stick Figure launches their full-length Burial Ground at 710 Beach Club on July 28. “We’ll have some limited-edition T-shirts,” says Scott Woodruff, who recorded the album with reggae singer Half Pint and longtime musical co-conspirator T.J. O’Neill.

When Manganista plays the Tin Can Ale House on August 3, frontman Matt Rhea will debut his solo seven-inch Spooky Tunes, featuring his cover of Bob Marley’s “Mr. Brown.”

Black Market III, the newest band formed by Mississippi Mudsharks mainman Scottie Blinn, drops a new full-length August 10 at the Griffin, after which the group departs for a European tour.

Josh Damigo will debut his sophomore full-length Hope on August 11 at Lestat’s. “[L]isteners will hear pop, country, and blues, as well as stripped-down acoustic songs that tug at the heart strings,” says Damigo of the 17-track album produced by Jeff Berkley (Berkley Hart).

Slightly Stoopid’s Top of the World, slated for release August 14, features guest players Angelo Moore (Fishbone), Barrington Levy and Don Carlos (Black Uhuru), Karl Denson (Greyboy Allstars), G. Love, Chali 2na, and Ian Neville.

August 18 will see the debut full-length from East of Sweden, Sink or Swim, produced by Mario Quintero at Black Box Studios and released on CD and via online digital downloads. “We’ll be playing the Soda Bar that night,” says Jeffrey O’Brien, “including one song we’ve never played live, performed with help from a few of our favorite local players.” The bill also includes Grand Tarantula, Idlehands, and One I Red.
