Chili Pepper Report

Fans of the Red Hot Chili Peppers awaiting their sold-out show scheduled for Wednesday, February 29, at the Valley View Casino Center, will need to cool their heels until September 23.

It was announced on January 11 that the band has postponed the start of its tour until late March. Lead singer Anthony Kiedis underwent surgery to repair a crushed sesamoid bone and correct a detached flexor tendon in his foot. Kiedis is expected to make a full recovery.

The I'm With You tour was to begin the January 20 in Sunrise, Florida, but is now scheduled to kickoff on the 29th of March in Tampa Bay instead. All tickets for the postponed dates will be honored at the rescheduled dates listed at the band's website: stadium-arcadium.com.

Kiedis has had ongoing problems with his feet ever since the Stadium Arcadium Tour. In August of 2011 he spoke of the injury on the band's website and how it originally occurred: “I stayed out on tour with broken bones in my feet from jumping off the bass drum, which is kind of agonizing, and it led to me being in a bad state of mind.”
