Unconditional Surrender “Kiss-In” Draws Crowd

Ocean Beach photographer Michael Realpeople gathered an estimated 50 couples and onlookers at the Embarcadero on the morning of February 18 to reenact the kiss that inspired the 25-foot-tall "Unconditional Surrender" statue.

Many art lovers vowed to petition the Port District to allow for a fundraising campaign to seek support for a bronze cast replica of the statue to be permanently erected near the U.S.S. Midway Museum site.
