Police arrested Héctor Hugo García Pineda, aka “El Fat Boy,” as the suspect in the murder of Gustavo Torres Alcalá, aka “El Beaver” and “El Gas.”

Besides selling griddled hotdogs from a cart on the corner of Calle Tercera and Negrete, Torres allegedly sold heroin to small-time customers.

Witnesses to a dispute between Torres and García reportedly said García owed Torres for 25 doses of heroin; Torres hadn’t paid up and had no dope to give back.

In front of El Panteón bar, García allegedly pulled a knife and plunged the blade several times into the torso of Torres. He expired a short time later at the hospital.

Police arrested García, who initially denied having done the deed. He awaits a court arraignment date behind bars.
