Shot in Tijuana: Edificio Mexico 1945

Scaffold-leaping laborers chisel off paint from a building façade labeled, in bas relief letters, “Edificio Mexico 1945." They’re preparing to slather the building with cement for the new tenant.

The building, located by the grand arch where Calle Primera crosses Avenida Revolución, recently housed a liquor store specializing in tequilas, but economic pressures have seen old businesses fade away. A 7-Eleven next door that opened a couple of months ago takes up the largest part of the building.
