Point Loma Shopping Center Loses Another Tenant

Loma Square Shopping Center is losing another tenant; in recent years, large spaces leased by Circuit City and a discount shoe store have gone vacant.

The Everything a Deal clothing store at the intersection of Midway Drive and Rosecrans Street has a sign posted for a closing sale. The discount store "will be open through the month of June" and "selling items at 50% off," according to store employee Ashley.

Though right next to a Henry's grocery store, a few businesses have leased the retail space over the years: in the 1990s, there was a discount bookstore; after that closed, a bargain retailer lasted awhile. The storefront sat empty until a boating store struggled for sales and closed two years ago.
