Thorogood Still B-b-b-b-bad

The sold-out crowd at Viejas' Dream Catcher Theater was dancing in the aisles all night long as George Thorogood and his band the Delaware Destroyers rocked the house. Thorogood was his "Bad to the Bone" self, flirting with the women in the audience, shaking his hips, and moving his pelvis in ways that would have made Elvis proud.

The beer-drinking crowd raised their glasses and happily sang along to hits such as "Who Do You Love," "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer" (during which he urged the audience members to treat their bartenders and waitresses well, saying, "God bless the working class. If the working people don't help the working people, they won't survive"), "Move It On Over," "I Drink Alone," and "Get a Haircut."

Thorogood closed out his set with his signature song, "Bad To The Bone," as the original video we all saw on MTV in 1982 played behind the band. His saxophone player, Buddy Leach, wailed a solo in the middle of the number that brought any seated audience members to their feet.

George Thorogood and the Destroyers showed why they are still selling out shows after 40 years of making music. It's all about connecting with your audience, and nobody does it better than George Thorogood.
