KT Tunstall's Intimate House Party

From the moment she bounded onto the stage, KT Tunstall filled House of Blues with energy and thrilled the small crowd with stories and Drastic Fantastic music for about 90 minutes.

She opened the set with several songs from her new CD, Tiger Suit, including “Glamour Puss,” “Come On, Get In,” and “Uummannaq Song,” explaining how she wrote the latter while on a trip to Greenland after seeing the Northern Lights for the first time. Before launching into “Still a Wierdo,” KT talked about her foray into beatboxing, describing how she made sounds like a “cat trying to hack up a furball” for the opening of the song.

The remainder of the set included more new songs as well as KT staples “Black Horse and the Cherry Tree,” “Hold On,” and “Saving My Face.” She included a rousing cover of Erasure's “A Little Respect” and then closed out the night with her biggest hit to date, “Suddenly I See.”
