Angry Customer Breaks Door in Vista

On November 7 at about 9:30 p.m., a customer broke the glass on the front door of the Circle K store on the corner of Shadowridge Drive and Watson Way in Vista.

According to a clerk who was present at the time, the customer was angry because he couldn't pay for beer with a $100 bill.

"He socked the door and left," the clerk said, "but we got his license-plate number and the sheriff's department is looking for him."

The clerk said he drops bills into a time-locked safe under the cash register and he didn't have enough money left in the drawer to give the customer change.

On November 9, a second clerk said that the same customer had returned to the store that day to make a purchase.

"We didn't do anything," she said. "We're going to let the law get him."
