Big Turnout for “Wipeout” Auditions in Mission Valley

Before 11 a.m. on October 30, hundreds of people lined up at Seau's restaurant to audition for a TV show. Twenty-four competitors on a large obstacle course will be the basis for a program to be named “Wipeout.”

Participants filled out information sheets and then, in small groups, went inside for quick interviews. Personnel from MysticArt Pictures asked applicants to state their names, ages, occupations, and a "funny" way in which they would spend $50,000 (they were told to not mention paying off debts or student loans).

At the conclusion of each group’s interviews, one agent decided who would be asked to leave and apply online, who would be invited to schedule an on-camera audition in Burbank, and who would be granted same-day on-camera auditions.

Those granted same-day auditions included the self-described "black Lady Gaga" and her friend who said she would use the money to buy "liposuction and fake boobs."
