Reservation Drugs

On January 21 at about 9 p.m., sheriff's deputies arrested a resident of the San Pasqual Reservation after a traffic stop led to the discovery of numerous types of illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia that suggested sales of drugs.

The suspect, Lupe Vasquez, 47, was a parolee at large and the investigation developed sufficient information to obtain authorization from Vasquez's parole agent to conduct a search of his residence. Valley Center detectives recovered large amounts of jewelry, two loaded handguns, several knives, and additional controlled substances.
