The two suspects fled in an unknown direction. Police responded to the scene and requested a translator for the victim. Because of a language barrier, the victim could give only a cursory description of two Hispanic males.

Police searched the area, including nearby Horton Plaza, but were unable to find the perpetrators.

Nearly 30 minutes after the incident, with the aid of a translator, police released a more detailed description of the suspects: a Hispanic male, 5’7” wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, long hair, mustache, and a beard. The other suspect is a heavy-set Hispanic male with no facial hair, 5’7”, wearing a white shirt, and black pants.
