As the Fog Lifts

"Hey, I know that guy from somewhere," a dude at the Casbah claimed last Wednesday night. He was talking about Ted Washington, onstage with his group Pruitt Igoe (more "performance art" than rock and roll).

"He works here," another dude said.

"No, no, I know him from somewhere else. I've seen him in O.B."

"He's the bouncer at Winstons," a woman with long red hair said.

"I knew it!" the dude said, stamping his foot down. "Three months ago, I was really drunk, and he tossed me out of Winstons."

"A lot of people say that about Ted," the woman replied.
