After graduating from art school in San Francisco, Dave worked as a video game designer before he discovered his true knack: creating intricate patterns, perfect shading and photo-like imagery as a tattoo artist. His work includes mythic Greek figures and detailed tribal designs. A 4-inch-square tattoo in multiple colors takes several hours and costs $300 to $600 depending on its complexity. Custom work comes at the rate of $120 per hour.
