This is the county's oldest provider of year-round surfing instruction. During the past 18 years, more than 8000 newcomers to the sport have managed to stand up and start surfing by the end of their first two-hour session. Bob Edwards, who first got up on a board himself almost 30 years ago and has ranked among the world's top ten male tandem surfers, heads up the teaching team. Bob's wife Peggy says the school's students have ranged in age from 3 to 72. Lessons takes place at three North County locations (Beacon's Beach in Leucadia, Moonlight Beach in Encinitas, and the Del Mar jetty in Camp Pendleton), plus the school organizes winter camps in Puerto Vallarta.
