What do Mille Fleurs, Pacifica Del Mar, the Third Corner, and Miguel's Cocina have in common? They all serve scrumptious seafood -- and they buy it from the same fishmonger. So do Rancho Valencia, Jake's Del Mar, Hilton Torrey Pines (with the county's most celebrated Friday seafood buffet), and Le Fontainebleau, among many others. Even Anthony's Star of the Sea, which gets most of its catch from their own fishing fleet, obtains some imported species from Leong Kuba. When the scallops taste really sweet, when the mahi-mahi tastes as if it was caught this morning, odds are you're eating their products. "They usually cost a little more than the other fishmongers," says one chef, "but they've got the quality."
