Located adjacent to the Mission Bay Golf Course, some people mistake this restaurant for just another snack bar clubhouse. But Victor's has evolved into a first-rate concert showcase, especially for local jazz bands. The outside pavilion is popular with couples, explains Brian Ross. "There's a pond full of Japanese koi, a 12-foot waterfall, and a bridge leading across it to a little island with jungle vegetation; it's a very romantic atmosphere. We have dining on the patio under classic umbrellas, and a lot of times we have candles burning as well."
