San Diego Junior Cotillion, privately run by father and son team Donald and Peter Benjamin, offers children, sixth grade and up, classes in the art of social graces. The goal of Junior Cotillion is to give children a foundation that enables them to act with poise, confidence, and thoughtfulness. Each week a topic is discussed pertaining to good manners, such as being a proper guest, host, or hostess; the correct way to make introductions; table manners; and ballroom dancing skills. Parents are encouraged to attend the first session to observe firsthand the goals of the program. A dress code is strictly enforced. Call for class schedule and locations.
