You can cook like a local chef with a soup mix from the San Diego Women's Bean Project, a program that has helped San Diego's homeless and very low-income women return to the job market since 1994. Simmer one of these in your pot tonight: Seven Spice Bean created by Michel Stroot of the Golden Door, or Curry Confetti Soup from Deborah MacDonald Schneider of Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines. Tomorrow night could be Bean Barley Medley created by Martin Woesle of Mille Fleurs, Savory White Bean from Douglas Organ of Laurel Restaurant, or maybe Cindy Black's Green Lentil Gumbo.
