Located down a flight of stairs at the end of a downtown alley, this restaurant and nightclub opened in July 1994. Filling its 18,000-square-foot space are VIP booths, granite bar tops, flashing lights and video screens, fiber-optic walls of drapes that change colors, and two large dance stages with stars and sparkling glitter embedded in the floorboards. The Nue Room Lounge opens at 8 p.m. and usually features '80s and '90s house music, while the Main Dance Club is open from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., with DJs specializing in trance and techno, especially after 2 a.m. Open Fridays and Saturdays only. The cover ranges from $10 to $15.
