If you listen to KPBS radio at all, you've heard the voice of Nancy Greenleese. She has a distinctive voice, like an old friend who happens to be talking to you from the radio, telling you a story you didn't know you were dying to hear. It's a classy yet sexy voice, reminiscent of actress Sela Ward, with intelligence and humor. Greenleese can be heard on most local news breaks, covering business to culture. She's become a rising star at National Public Radio, particularly on the offbeat national sports show, Only a Game, where she files reports, most recently on the launch of WUSA and the San Diego Spirit. She's served as guest host more than once, chatting with guests and introducing stories from racism and sexism in the sports world to a band that plays nothing but hockey songs. (They're called the Zambonis.)
