La Mesa Community Center has a lot to offer little Suzie on her road to culture. Parent & Tot gym classes for one-year olds -- ten-week sessions, once a week for a half hour -- cost $13 for La Mesa residents, $18 for nonresidents. Tap classes for kids run $12 and $16 for a weekly half-hour class. But maybe little Lisa is into self-expression. How about the Creative Dance class? A 45-minute class will cost $20 if you're a resident, $27 if not. The center offers summer cheerleading classes, karate, tennis, and the ever-popular swim lessons at the La Mesa Municipal Pool. Two weeks of daily half-hour classes are $17 or $23. And of course, there is always the belly dance class ($36 for residents, $48 for nonresidents).
