Mr. Hai and his crew are experts at getting repairs done as quickly and cheaply as possible. It is common for new customers to quote the price of a repair with another shop only to have him say, "We can do it cheaper." The most reassuring thing at Hi is the honesty of Hai and his staff, offsetting the fear of having unnecessary work added to pad the bill. Hai will recommend other places that might be cheaper or more qualified (a rarity) or find cheaper parts that are as good as the dealer's. If you have small children, he offers a comfortable waiting room with a TV/VCR and several cartoon videos. Smog checks are $27.75 plus $8.75 for certificate (trucks and vans $10 more). Oil changes are $19.95 for most domestic vehicles.
