In the early 1900s, private dining rooms were the rage for romantic evenings. All this came to an end after World War I. Now, private dining rooms are in demand again for festive occasions. Few are more sought after than the one at Pamplemousse Grill. Reservations must be made well in advance, and the room, which seats up to 50, won't dwarf a party of 20. The Pamplemousse Grill's dining room is occupied three or four times a week. Among its other amenities are special gold-and-ochre plates, an antique armoire, a mirrored wall, and a 20-foot painting depicting cows to underline the theme of French provincial food. The menu is devised for each group based on requests. You may bring in your own entertainment. Service is always impeccable.
