Face off in a 2000-square-foot meeting room at Game Empire. The shop up front opened in 1994 and sells game supplies and merchandise. Some interactive adventures are played out with miniature figurines (Warhammer Fantasy), others are board games (Bloodbowl) or played with dice (Cyberpunk) or decks of specialized cards (Pokémon and Middle Earth). Lessons are offered so players can join in the tournaments and league competitions set up with miniature acres of buildings, medieval settings, and figurines. The war room walls are lined with books, dungeon-master guides, maps, and model kits. Popular games such as BattleTech and Dungeons and Dragons are a constant, as are somewhat controversial ones like Magic the Gathering.
