More than a hundred singles show up each Tuesday for this dance party geared toward thirtysomethings. Guests shell out $10 to meet and greet at a buffet for the first hour and a half and then everyone dances to '70s rock, R&B smokers, and pelvic-grind ballads by the likes of Journey and Lionel Ritchie. California casual attire is encouraged; door prizes and flowers are placed on every table to insure that nobody dwells on how alone and desperate they might feel.
