But this family restaurant is worth the drive no matter where you reside. Tomatoes serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and not only gives you lots of good taste and flavor, but lots of food for your dollar. Top price for a dinner entrée with soup or salad is $12.95 for salmon. Breakfast omelets are an especially good buy, served with choice of potatoes, fried green tomatoes, hush puppies, plus choice of biscuit, English muffin, or toast ($6.95 and $7.95). Sandwiches -- the most popular are meatloaf melt with cheddar cheese, mahi-mahi filet, and a true vegetarian garden burger -- are also available. Homestyle entrées include meatloaf, liver and onions, corned beef and cabbage. There's also soup served in an edible bread bowl, pastas, seafood, and chicken dishes.
