Michael Moore’s output during the Obama years confirms the obvious: just as a ship needs a rudder, the director is nothing without a Republican commander-in-chief to shepherd his contempt. Still, credit Moore with finding fault in Mrs. Clinton’s pampered approach to politics. (His was the only liberal voice to predict a Trump victory.) And an extreme close-up of his beloved Barack Obama pressing a glass of toxic Flint, MI tap water to his lips without taking a sip didn’t wash with the documentarian. Certainly Moore has found a cure for the DT’s. But come on: bash Trump all you want — God knows the misleading jackal has earned it —but put the kibosh on the spurious (and easy) comparisons to Adolf Hitler. Hitler exterminated 13 million people to Bush’s 9,016 military deaths and the 2,500 soldiers lost on Obama’s watch. The only thing Donald Trump ever killed was a 22 oz. butt steak. If you’re gonna fight, fight fair, lest your goal work to cheapen the memories of those who perished in Hitler’s ovens. (2018) — Scott Marks
